Girl Scouts offers girls – ages 5-17 – an opportunity to explore hundreds of programs, events, and resources to meet the diverse needs and interests of all girls. Check out the latest 2007-2008 Council Guide for more information! Don’t forget, Grants for Girls, our financial assistance program, is available for families in need.

Important Bank Account Information for Girl Scout Volunteers

The following information is provided in response to the number of inquires from Girl Scout volunteers about changing or
updating their bank account(s) to the new Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys:

  • Volunteers may continue to use their tax exempt certificates for Girl Scout activity-related purchases following their existing service center guidelines. Information about new tax exempt certificates will be distributed along with the updated bank account information.
  • The Girl Scout finance and legal departments are working together to gather and provide the necessary instructions and documentation required by banks.
  • Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys is not official until October 1. After this date, we will be able to request the necessary legal documents and provide detailed instructions for volunteers to work with their banks to update their account(s).
  • Volunteers should not make any changes to their account(s) until they receive official notification and the necessary paperwork from their service center.
  • No new bank accounts should be opened until volunteers receive proper banking instructions.
