The Girl Scout Council of St. Croix Valley family partnership campaign is an invitation for family members to invest in life-changing experiences that help girls grow strong in mind, body and spirit. Every day throughout our council, the Girl Scout experience is making a lasting impact on girls and young women. By supporting the family partnership campaign, you play a vital role in helping us ensure that Girl Scouts is available for your daughter and for every girl, everywhere.
Your family partnership gift is important because it makes it possible for the council to subsidize program offerings—keeping costs affordable for families. Costs that family partnership contributions cover include:
- Five safe and well-maintained properties where girls can explore the outdoors, learn to make independent decisions, and meet a variety of new challenges.
- Financial assistance for girls who would not otherwise be able to afford Girl Scout activities.
- Equipment and supplies for girls to try a variety of activities like tent camping, horseback riding, the arts, and math and science programs.
Double your Gift for Girls
There has never been a better time to make a "stretch" gift to Girl Scouts. The council has received a generous challenge grant to match new and increased gifts to the council from families who give between $250 and $1,000 in 2004.
Matching gifts from your employer may also be available to increase the amount of your gift. Ask your employer for information on matching gift opportunities. You can also check out our list of companies that offer matching gift programs.
Honor Someone Special with a Tribute Gift
A tribute gift is a unique way to make the world a better place. It can celebrate or honor family members, friends, associates, and Girl Scout volunteers or alumnae on any occasion. Any gift can be a tribute gift. By making a gift through the tribute program, you can reach out to someone special during times of joy or sorrow. A tribute gift can honor someone special who has made a difference in your life. A tribute gift can commemorate or acknowledge birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, births, promotions, deaths, or recoveries from illness. A tribute gift can also be a special way to thank your daughter's troop leader for her work to help girls grow strong.
Each tribute gift is acknowledged by a distinctive card sent to the person, or the family of the person, in whose name your gift is made. (The card does not mention the gift amount.) As the donor, you will receive a separate acknowledgement and a receipt for your records.
Join the Friends of Girl Scouting Giving Society
Your family partnership gift includes membership in the Friends of Girl Scouting giving society. Donors are recognized for their cumulative gifts to the Girl Scout Council of St. Croix Valley and receive special benefits like recognition in the council's annual report, copies of council publications, and invitations to council events. The most important benefit of joining Friends of Girl Scouting is knowing that you are helping girls grow strong.
